ABOUT JR ACADEMY

It all started when...

Josh's passion for Jiu-Jitsu took him all the way to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he then earned all of his belts from white to black at the founding Gracie Barra academy in Barra da Tijuca. In Brazil, he learned from, trained, and competed with some of the most highly decorated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the world.

Now back home in Canada, as the first BJJ Black Belt in Alberta, Professor Russell's goal is to share his knowledge and spread jiu jitsu.
