Our focus is to help cultivate fit, healthy and confident people by developing a passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

 

Adult Classes

Jiu Jitsu offers many benefits including health, confidence, and community. Whether you are interested in competition, fitness, and/or self-defense, a safe and inclusive environment is provided to train in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. You will be challenged both physically and mentally and learn how to be resilient both on and off the mats. Training Jiu Jitsu is a great way to relieve stress, gain strength, and meet like-minded people.

Fundamental - These classes focus on the development and improvement of the core concepts, movements, and techniques necessary to build a solid foundation for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The typical class begins with a 15 min warm-up that involves dynamic movements and stretches followed by instruction and drilling 2-3 techniques. 

Advanced (2-stripe white belts and above) - Students will learn the advanced concepts of techniques and positional strategies with a focus on a more in-depth philosophy of the art at a faster pace. This program provides a deeper understanding of Jiu Jitsu and how to execute at a higher level. The typical class consists of technical instruction followed by both specific live-action drilling and rounds of rolling.


WOMEN’S ONLY CLASS

The women’s only class is a great way for females to get introduced to the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or continue their BJJ development in a safe and comfortable environment with the support of other women. The class is led by a female black belt and teaches Jiu Jitsu strategies and techniques adjusted to meet women’s specific needs and goals. Women will build strength and confidence and learn the fundamentals to embrace their potential to continue their training in other classes.

Submission Grappling (nogi) class

These classes consists of training without the use of the traditional kimono (gi.) 


open mat

These sessions are open to all members to use the mat space at their leisure.  Students can choose to drill techniques as well as spar (roll).


Private lessons

Private lessons are a great way to supplement your existing training by working one on one with Professor Josh.  Whether your desire is to troubleshoot problematic areas of your game or you wish to learn specialized techniques, a private lesson can be of great benefit to you.
